Britain’s Got Talent Comes To Melton Mowbray

BGT LogoThe tongues have been wagging, the excitement is building up for Britain’s Got Talent is coming to the market town of Melton Mowbray scouring for talent.

Suzanne Forrester owner of the Performing Stars Academy in Melton was approached by BGT’s Senior Researcher Jake Courts to set the ball rolling “At first I thought it was a joke but after a long conversation with Jake I now know it’s all legit. I was honored to be approached by the team this is a huge opportunity for so many in the town. The BGT team feel that in bringing the auditions to the people it will take the pressure out of trying to get time off work and travelling to the bigger cities. I have been tasked with finding 35 acts to present to judges, those 35 will be invited to be filmed performing for the judges and that footage then goes off to the executive producer back in London. This is a regional sourcing of material, there’s no actual guarantee that everyone will get through but it sure would be nice for someone to be picked up and recognized for what they can do.”

Suzanne originally trained as a drama teacher and has over a decade of experience in the business. In 2010 she opened the first Performing Stars Academy in Melton Mowbray, following its huge success she’s gone on to establish two more academies, one in Birstall (Leicester) and Burton Upon Trent“I just love nurturing talent, it’s so close to my heart which is why I’m so excited about BGT Melton.”

If you want to get involved in this amazing opportunity – which is open to everyone not just the people of Melton – auditions will be taking place on:

Sunday 7 December 2014

Methodist Church, Sandy Lane, Melton,

5-8pm.

People are asked to visit the BGT Melton Facebook page and upload footage or email Suzanne directly suzanne@performingstars.co.uk with the subject heading BGT Audition Melton.

Deadline for submissions Friday 5 December.

“The judges really are looking for anything…” Suzanne continues “…singers, dancers, bands, performing dogs – you’ve seen the show, the list goes on.”
