Engelbert Humperdinck

Engelbert Humperdinck has reached a huge milestone in his career by scoring a Top 5 slot in the Official UK Album Chart with the release of, ‘Engelbert Humperdinck: 50’.

The album is Engelbert’s highest chart position in 13 years and surpassed new albums by Erasure, Blink-182, The Kooks and even outsold his two previous albums, ‘The Best of Release Me’ (2012) and ‘Engelbert Calling’ (2014).

Speaking of his chart position, 81 year old Engelbert says: “I have always loved what I do, and I am so happy that my voice is as powerful now as when I started. To again get a Top 5 album with Universal/Decca is, to say the least, fabulous! My fans have always been so dedicated, so it’s wonderful to know that they are still so loyal to me. I always look forward to performing for them.”

‘Engelbert Humperdinck: 50’ features 35 of Engelbert’s most loved songs plus two brand new recordings – ‘I Followed My Heart’ and ‘I Don’t Want To Call It Goodbye’ – personally dedicated to his wife of 50 years, Patricia.

To coincide with the new album, Engelbert has also release a new 11-disc box set entitled ‘The Complete Decca Studio Albums’.
