Review: Keep Running by Aura Davis

New on the Musicvein radar is Swiss artist Aura Davis with new single ‘Keep Running’.

The track being something of a dark horse, starts with a simple guitar-picking pattern before opening out to a DJ Fresh style track, something I really wasn’t expecting. The tempo progression from canter to sprint completely blindsided me in a way that connects with the lyrics, the song telling of being unable to stay put for long even if things are going well.

Speaking of the single, Aura says “I’ve always been the one that disappears every now and then. I need a lot of time just being with myself and thinking, which probably has to do with the fact that I had to learn to get along with myself in silence quite early in my life…I just tend to hide in my own world sometimes, when this world gets too crazy and too loud for me to handle”.

Compared to Aura’s first single ‘Secrets’ which had more of a Nashville feel to it, ‘Keep Running’ suggests an artist unafraid to explore and express the complexities of life and music.

Keep your eyes peeled for more on this artist.
