Celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary, the Brit Awards is set to change next year.
Of the changes we have are;
- Awards will be cut from 14 to 9
- Category name changes
- Public voting is gone
- The Lady Britannia Statue is back
Statues on the night will be awarded to the following categories;
- Best Group (formerly British Group)
- Rising Star (was the Critics Choice Awards)
- Best New Artist (previously British Breakthrough Act)
- Song of the Year (was British Single)
- Female Solo Artist
- International Female Solo Artist
- Male Solo Artist
- International Male Solo Artist
- Mastercard Album of the Year
The Brit Awards 2020 will be broadcast live Tuesday 18th February 2020
