Sony Masterworks, the classical music division of Sony, today launches new label XXIM based in Berlin.

The first of it’s kind within Sony music, XXIM Records will offer a home to artists who explore electronic, ambient, post rock and neo-classical sounds.

XXIM Records opens its catalogue with the debut single release ‘Brotin’ from Icelandic pianist and composer, Eydís Evensen.

“Eydís is a hugely promising artist…” states Alexander Buhr, SVP of International A&R at Sony Masterworks. “…with a remarkable flair for both music and visuals. We are very excited to introduce her to the world, and to have ‘BROTIN’ set the tone for our new label.”
