It’s been a year since the first lockdowns began in 2020 and as restrictions set to become more relaxed soon, one Swiss record label, Rockstar Publishing, with a few of their rostered artists, have today released single ‘Days Gone By’.
Based on the famous Robert Burns poem ‘Auld Lang Syne’ and a song traditionally sung on New Years Eve, The Allstars, featuring; T. Green (Alienare), AnnA Lux, Aura Davis, Elias Bertini, Queen Tantrum, Dino Serci (Schwarzschild), Seraina Telli (Dead Venus) and Moni (Spiegelbild), came together while performing each piece in their homes/studios – to create ‘Days Gone By’.
Reflecting on the road ahead and thankfulness for friendships forged over lockdown, the lines “The road ahead is fractured yet with hope I still can find…we’ll overcome the rocky times and this is who we are..” strike a chord within you and though it seems a bit odd singing the Auld Lang Syne tune well into the New Year, the message of hope it reflects remains the same and is perhaps more poignant now.
