Krept and Konan have recently revealed how the turning point in their career came when self-belief turned a period of homeless and loss into the success they have today.
Produced exclusively for SB.TV (the leading online youth TV channel) the powerful message is part of a series of videos shown in association with the National Citizen Service (NCS) which runs each year.
Last month Rita Ora revealed how after many let downs in the industry, she finally made it to where she is today through the power of self-belief.
Konan from the Krept and Konan duo said, “A personal thing happened in my life, which made me homeless. I lost all my belongings and materialistic things and lost my Step Dad. It kind of turned everything upside down.”
Krept “We actually sat down and said ‘Are we still gonna do this music thing?'”
“What it boiled down to was we’re gonna do this music thing fully.” continued Konan “It’s now or never basically. We had the self-belief of just doing it. Don’t let anything stop you. Whatever you put your mind to, you can do. That’s how I see life. If you’ve got self-belief, no on can stop you.”
The NCS programme, now in it’s 3rd year, is a unique 3 week residential aimed at 16 & 17 year olds. Run during school holidays and packed with activities that encourage the development of personal, social and life skills the NCS programme is going from success to success.
