Spanish Fever Hits Little Mix

CNCO and Little Mix

Looks like Little Mix are the latest group to be hit by the Spanish fever as they release their version of Latin pop group CNCO‘s ‘Reggaeton Lento’.

Formed in 2015, CNCO were the winning members of ‘La Banda’ a Latin American singing contest created by Simon Cowell and produced by Ricky Martin. Members, Christopher Velez, Zabdiel De Jesus, Erick Brian, Richard Camacho and Joel Pimentel – are said to be the Latin equivalent of One Direction – with the 1D lads appearing on the show to give the finalists some sound advice.

Their debut album, Primera Cita, released in August 2016 reached No.1 of the US Latin Album Charts. While ‘Reggaeton Lento (Bailamos)’ originally released in 2016 by CNCO peaked at No.2 in Spain and reached the Top 5 in Chile, Argentina, Guatemala and Paraguay.

This new version with English lyrics performed by Little Mix doesn’t detract from the original and still has that great Reggaeton vibe that you just can’t help but dance to. Here’s hoping that this track goes straight to the top of the UK Charts.
