Jazz and Soul singer Kandace Springs is set to release her new album ‘The Women Who Raised Me’ through Blue Note – and what’s more will be bringing her to Alexandra Palace, 31st October.

The album, a tribute to female soul legends old and new, features Kandace’s interpretations of songs from Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill and Sade.

Speaking of the album and why she decided on the artists she chose, Kandace says; “It took a while to think of exactly the singers and songs I wanted to do, I wanted each one to be an iconic song that people associated with that singer…the record really expresses my love for all of these singers and my gratitude for what they’ve given me. Each of them taught me something and all of those lessons combined to make me who I am today…”

Tickets cost around £40 (incl booking fee) available now via Serious.
