26th March 2021 sees the release of new album ‘Assembly’ by the late Joe Strummer.
Released by Dark Horse Records the album features a newly remastered collection of solo cuts from Strummer and a world premiere video of ‘I Fought The Law’, recorded at Brixton Academy in 2001 when Joe was with his new band The Mescaleros. The accompanying video created by Spencer Ramsey.
Another live recording of The Clash favourite – ‘Rudie Can’t Fail’ – which was thought to be lost also makes an appearance as well as a rendition of Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption Song’.
‘Assembly’ was mixed and mastered by 3 x GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer Paul Hicks (The Beatles / John Lennon / The Rolling Stones / David Bowie).
The 16 track album ‘Assembly’, contains previously three unreleased versions of songs by The Clash and exclusive liner notes written especially for this collection by Jakob Dylan.
