Day 4 out of 5 for Harriet Eaves and the checkered flag is in sight – I wonder what slap up meal she’ll be treating herself to on Saturday.
Over the course of the week Harriet has been living off less than £1 per day to raise the awareness of extreme poverty which 1.2 billion people are subject to. Joining many others who are taking part in the Live Below the Line challenge, Harriet will be raising funds for Plan UK.
(Cite) Plan is a global children’s charity. We work with children in the world’s poorest countries to help them build a better future.
For over 75 years we’ve been taking action and standing up for every child’s right to fulfill their potential by:
- giving children a healthy start in life, including access to safe drinking water
- securing the education of girls and boys
- working with communities to prepare for and survive disasters
- inspiring children to take a lead in decisions that affect their lives
- enabling families to earn a living and plan for their children’s future
With your support children, families and entire communities have the power to move themselves from a life of poverty to a future with opportunity.
So far Harriet’s efforts have raised £166, £34 short of her £200 target…Will you help to get her there? Please donate whatever you can on her Below The Line page.
